Nice... I guess Star Wars.com is officially dubbing them "Imperial Security Troopers" so that's the canon name.

I still suspect IOC won't get them, since they're just a color variant of the existing Army Trooper armor (which I believe SpecOps has all of those variants already), but good to have that locked down at least.

Yes indeed I am planning on making it a little bit shorter (about 5 cm) so that it's around a "palm's length" below the end of my hands (Beehaz had about the same). As for the flair out of the tunic it's mostly my body shape (gained a few kilos during Covid unfortunate) and also the pant's kind of "push" them outwards, but I'm gonna be thinking about that yet. Besides, I believe once it'll be a tad shorter it'll fix on itself so to speak. Stay tuned for the next update

Ah, THOSE guys.  I suspect we'll have to fight with the detachment got the muddies (Special Ops) for this one, or perhaps ACD will want it, too, since it's basically a color variant mixed and matched from existing costumes (and no face mask of course).  I can see valid arguments for several detachments, including ours, so it'll likely come down to the LMOs to decide which detachment to award this costume to.

And of course, someone has to make the costume before it can be submitted and final decisions made.

The Spanish-style (curved top) equestrian boots have always been allowed, I think that's why that detail is in there.  We need to do some research for the non-Saga costumes, and see if we can confirm that NONE of the characters have Spanish-style tops on their boots, at which point I'd agree that language needs to be dropped and people will need all flat top boots.

Obviously we need to tweak the boot CRL to bring in the rear adjustment flap and strap, which appears to be basically the same as the ones on the German jack boots.  Previously only Krennic had boots with the adjustment strap, if memory serves.  Meanwhile, no one seeking L3 approval with accurate boots is going to be turned down, whether the CRL has been updated or not.

I'd need to consult a lot more resources on removing the belly seam for Meero, though.

As to whether Meero gets an individual face character CRL, that remains to be seen, but current leaning is no.  It's not a unique costume in any way, it's the standard IOC uniform, just a tad more tailored as you'd expect for a lead character.  IOC leadership has been saying for at least 6 years now, through multiple rounds of staffing, that Tarkin really shouldn't have a dedicated CRL, and if it was to be redone in recent memory, he would not have had one.  They're all officers with standard uniform variations.  (To be clear we have no intention of messing with any of the OT CRLs... Tarkin is safe!  But we don't need to repeat those mistakes with new ones.)

Have we seen that coat anywhere other than that scene?  I'll admit I'm a little loathe to encourage changing the CRL for imperials, based solely on a one-off scene where a Jedi grabs a coat for disguising himself AND a child... it's possible that's a one-off, made to drape nicer over two people.  (And possible it's standard... but given the situation it's hard to be sure, so even one other piece of evidence would help a lot)

kman got a reaction from Eagle in Line Officer Color Question
Technically the color is a German word, "Feldgrau" ("Field Gray") which is a greenish brownish gray.  "Olive" is probably the closest color in real world, of course, which specific olive?  OD green is definitely not right... the US military "olive drab" green is far too green.  What you want to avoid is actual gray... that's a distinctly different uniform (which now exists due to Andor, as the lower level assistant officers to the ISB higher ups... the name is not quite formalized yet).

For the traditional Line Officer (like Tarkin and others in the original trilogy, or the Military Officer in the non-saga movies and shows), Anovos looks closest to "right" to the eye, but interestingly, the German garrison did a special run of fabric that was color matched to Tarkin's actual pants (owned by a private collector in Germany), and comparing Anovos, Wampa, and a scrap of that German fabric, Wampa's green is actually the closest match to the real deal.

    My unofficial thoughts:
Gentle reminder: we are not the RPF. We have to draw the line somewhere. ALL costumes can really get in the weeds with details. I myself, am also an ANH Vader and there's plenty of beyond level 3 details out there.

Based on non saga precedent, we seem to be moving away from face officers that can be replicated with standard parts. I think Meero's tunic is different because she's the star: the first live action female officer. Everyone else gets stuff off the rack. The uniforms overall seem to be tailored to the folks wearing them.  I don't think those subtle production differences necessitate a new CRL. ANH and anthology tunics have taller collars and longer shirts. Jerjerrod has the only olive double yoke.

We only have a handful of face officers as CRLs, but none of them recently. @buckrogersbarker can speak to those reasons. We don't have a Petigar or Yularen CRL because they can be made from the ISB Non Saga. We don't even have old school ANH Yularen CRL despite him being 50% of the ISB uniforms from ANH. I wanted to do an Andor Yularen, but that's just making a new CRL just for the sake of making a new CRL. It's superfluous.

Zooming out a little bit and looking back, I also think we need to stay away from formalizing colors. Just look at the olive uniform color variations. Cosplaysky's green is its own thing and we still allow that. Sure, it's fun to overanalyze (it's who we are as IOC, and it's part of why we are here), but I think our job is to come with basic standards and not get lost in things like "Supervisor Gordy's tunic is slightly whiter" and put that into a CRL.

The Rimowa 'Limbo' case used is vintage, but we're not exactly sure how old. There is very little information available. The Limbo series design has evolved a great deal over the years and there are several sizes. The carry strap U-bolts on top make this likely a very early version of this small notebook-sized attaché.

    Made of Aluminium and Polycarbonate

It's not meant to be a half-circle, just "not flat".  The slight curve in the Wampa buckle is perfectly acceptable.

Blaster looks like it should be fine!  Be careful with those thin fins on the front... resin can be fragile.

I got my holster from Darth Solar Leatherworks, but I have no idea if he's still selling them.  He was on Facebook, and used to have a thread here as well.  Thread might be under his GeoHazard username.

Very few people make the belt straps the correct length, though, I've noticed... the holster should snug up to the belt, not hang down below it.  Pretty easy to shorten them, if you know anything about leather, but better if they could make them the right size in the first place.  (I suspect most could, but for some reason don't unless specifically requested)

    Note the original:
