It’s just a regular white dress shirt. Just make sure the collar isn’t substantially taller than your jacket collar

Easy enough - locking rank bar. I don't think we have any issues w/ the Rebel rank bar description from Pryce, so I'm just going to lock it and move on if no objections. The only thing I tweaked are the first two bullets, which I lifted from the Imperial Military Officer CRL.

    Code Cylinders
Between 1 to 4 Code Cylinders per costume may be worn.
No more than 2 code cylinders per pocket.
Modified Silver "chalk holder" tube with a short clip and blue top. Dosimeter Style: True Dosimeter with correct clip and Blue top. Clip is silver in color. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
Must be Rebels style code cylinder with correct Rebels style clip and blue caps.

Definitely agree with keeping this consistent with the other Rebels CRLs

Also, no lvl 3 requirements, I don't think. The real-world uniforms have lining but, we don't have proofs of that for the Rebel officers!

    Hello everyone.
I’m Shaun and I’ve been fairly active here at the IOC for a while now so I’ve probably interacted with many of you already.
I’ll be Daisy’s 2nd here as reps from the LMO team for this term.
My biggest focus is growing the Legion. More costumes and more people wearing them! More Star Wars is good Star Wars!

Hello everyone, I’m Daisy from the Dutch Garrison and together with Shaun I have been assigned as your LMO team for this term.

    About Me:
My name is Daisy van Rijn, and this is my first term as a 501st  Legion Membership Officer. I’ve been in the Underworld Detachment Command for the three previous terms. I have six approved 501st costumes, four in the Rebel Legion and I have three unfinished 501st costumes that are waiting for the right weather or parts. I have been sewing since I was 19 and love sharing that acquired knowledge with others.

    What is an LMO?
The Legion Membership Team is responsible for reviewing and processing applications for membership, and maintaining and updating member information in the Legion database. The Legion Membership Officers drives costume policies, including acceptable costume types for membership and setting standards for costume submissions, and are the final arbiter of member costume issues and approvals. The Legion Membership Officer supervises and advises Detachments, Garrison Membership Liaisons, and Garrison Web Liaisons on any questions or issues they may have with member’s costumes. Have a question about membership these are the folks to talk to!

There are LMOs you can contact at any time at Legion Officers however Shaun and I are the ones who are assigned to the Imperial Officer Corps this term.

For example, the ISB CRL states the following for the tunic:

This tunic is somewhat infamous for being difficult to fit on any body that isn't a tube, since the lack of front princess seams makes it difficult to fit on a body with breasts or a trim waist, etc.  IIRC the originals didn't have back princess seams either because they were quickly made for a couple of background extras. We've made an allowance in our standards to account for the fact that bodies other than trim cylinder body types may want to wear this tunic, and fitting seams help make a tunic fit less like a sack on diverse body types.  Why not do the same here?

I agree with the tailor's assessment.  Making a tunic fitted to look like the reference images without having any back seams (either using princess seams, center back seam, or just darts) is challenging, unless the body wearing the tunic is shaped like a cylinder.  You can take a little waist fullness out of the side seams to narrow the waist, but that will only go so far.  Without seams or darts you're still going to have fullness in the back and it will look blousey, like a tucked in dress shirt, which is definitely not what these uniforms look like.

While I'm definitely for making the costume look as accurate to the source material as possible, it can be a challenge with animated characters that don't have to exist in reality and are often drawn more simply for whatever reason. In this case it may be necessary to allow princess seams in the CRL...not to require their use, or prevent them from being used, but to leave it open to the individual similar to how some of our other officer CRLs don't require or prohibit them (at least not for L1).  Perhaps some language in the CRL specifying that "princess seams may be used on the back to allow for a proper fit"?

I certainly agree. Rampart has another kind of trousers in comparison to the other officers. He also has another tunic and another kind of boots. I'll look into adding the screen shots asap. Getting that new tunic is a bit tricky to make according to my tailor.

    Looking good @RobinKrennicDutch and @7959!
I think we should look into getting some higher res screen grabs if possible. Also paying particular attention to anything that’s different to other officers. This will be to see if we can justify a unique CRL for Rampart, hopefully we can!
Then we can start with the wording of the CRL text which members can discuss and refine before we create the ‘Finalising CRL Proposal’ thread.

In that case, to keep this as ANIMATED as possible for now, and let's revisit the "should this be a separate CRL or v3" discussion once we have the texts all knocked out? We can then see how we feel.

In the spirit of keeping this as ANIMATED as possible, I'd like to propose the following texts for the hat:

    Hat, Olive, Rebels-Style
Hat is OPTIONAL but only if a specific referenced licensed character’s typical uniform configuration is copied in full, and does not typically include a hat. Fabric is a medium weight suiting material matching the pants and tunic if applicable. Cavalry Twill or a Gabardine style weave is most accurate. Base of the hat is conical, with a crown about 4 inches (101.6 mm) tall. Front and rear “flaps” overlap on the sides, with the back flap over the front, and are about 4 inches (101.6 mm) high. Front bill extends 3 inches down; there are no concentric stitches. Imperial Code Disk is positioned in the center of the front vertical "flap.”
OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
Code Disk exactly matches Rebels style disk
    Thoughts?

I believe the x-wing pilots wear jack boots rather than riding boots so, assuming you have these,  they won’t be suitable I’m afraid.
I can’t comment on the gloves sorry

Do like this idea, my only concern is that it may appear a little confusuing to some people, particalarly when we already have other Rebels-specific CRLs.

This is my opinion only (would be happy to hear from others!) but I look at the Officers in Rebels as being no different to those we've seen anywhere in terms of in-world canon.
They appear different simply because of the medium used in this TV show.
So I would suggest that if we do add another tab to the Imperial Military Officer (non-saga) CRL then this would remain a 'real-world' costume, meaning regular boots, tunic, jodphurs, rank badge etc, but with the addition of things like the 7th Fleet patch, markings on the hat and collar of the tunic.
We could even potentially list these items as optional accessories rather than a tab.

Then we proceed with this CRL here, keeping it a separate entry, with all the rebels-sepcific items like you've mentioned above. Noting the almost everything is different to 'real-world' items, this would make sense I think?

This would give people a choice.
They could go the fully stylised animated route, OR a costume that looks as though it comes from live-action.

Just my thoughts but would like to hear from others.
