We have submitted to the LMO for review. Elia Kane is most definitely NOT a good guy.
So have we submitted for Ella Kane specifically as a named character or the generic officer? Because they aren't the same thing. Ella Kane is essentially an Imperial spy wearing a New Republic Uniform.

Has this been green lit from the LMO team? Surely the amnesty program was for former Imperials who were rehabilitated and now working for the New Republic?

Given that Spec Ops has been given the Andor army trooper I'd assume they'll also get this? It is exactly the same uniform and armour as the army trooper bar the colour, it makes sense to have them together.

That's likely, I guess. Yet, it always puzzled me that the mud trooper went to that detachment. They are more grunt troops, land based version of the Navy Trooper, than special forces. Ah well.
Before Solo came out someone created a crl for an "Imperial Army" trooper from one of the comics. The IOC command team at the time made it clear they weren't interested so Spec Ops offered them a home. Then when Solo came out the Mudtroopers were a branch of the Imperial Army, so they followed the other Army crls into spec ops.

Indeed, Really interested by those riot control folks with shields. I wonder if they would come to ICO.
They look to be very closely based on the Mudtrooper. If so I'd expect them to sit with Spec Ops.

There have already been a number of officers shown in the trailer, plus the main antagonist(s) appear to ISB. I think this show has the potential to be a gold mine for our detachment.

None of us mind if something happens we don't like as long as it is fairly metered out.
Thank you, very well said. I think this is the crux of what is upsetting many of us here. It isn’t that a decision has been made that we don’t like, it is that the reason given is something that is frequently unevenly applied.
-
I've not been following this buid in close detail, can I just summarise why it was rejected to to see if I'm understanding it correctly? The crl was rejected by the LMO because:
- The LMO team should have been involved sooner.
Except that the LMOs were involved from the very beginning of this thread and have commented consistently.
- The costume should not have been made before the LMO team had given the crl a green light.
Except that whenever new crls have been asked about in the past the standard response from Kris (an LMO) has always been "someone has to build it first".
- There aren't clear reference shots of the back
Except this has never been a requirement that is applied evenly and, according to the actual wording (shared above), is not so much a requirement as a preference.
Anything else I'm missing?

I assumed it was grey since the model is clearly based on Agent Kallus.

Love it, glad to see this coming together.
One piece of feedback: the shoulders need to have the "groove" added.

I think those are all custom. CosplaySky makes one, but I don't know how good it is.

If I remember correctly the tunic and pants from cosplaysky are ok, the belt is a standard Officer belt with a “rebels style” buckle. The boots are black Chelsea boots. The shin armour and the gauntlets are something I don’t know about. I’ve read they can be made from foam or pvc pipe, but never seen pics illustrating how.....
-
Do3d have the armour and helmet for 3d printing. Theyre on my "to do list" so cant comment as to how they come out.
-
Isnt "staff officer" just a designation that the 501st came up with years ago for a uniform that we now know never actually existed on screen?
LFL refers to the black uniformed officers as "Security Officers" and therefore all the references will refer to that. Makes sense for us to follow suit.
-
Make sure you also have shots that show his boots / legs and also clear shots from behind

Interesting rumour circulating about this character. Apparently Padme and Ashoka were due to be added to BF2, but time ran out. So they took Padme’s face and Ahsoka’s animation for drawing her lightsabers and stuck them on a brand new character.
sounds a bit far fetched to me?

Looking at the tunic again, it doesn’t look the same as Kallus’. The lighter grey panel in the front comes up to the collar and across the shoulders for Kallus, but in Kris’ screen shots above you can see it stops somewhere under the chest plate.

In case anyone is interested, I just finished modeling the helmet, using the files from the game as a reference.
Here's the link in Pinshape: https://pinshape.com/items/60280-3d-printed-isb-agent-battlefront-2
It's free btw
I've downloaded your model, thank you. Before I start printing though, what is the internal circumference of it as it comes (want to get the scaling right)?

As above, if you're travelling overseas reach out to the local garrison. Even if you can't troop with them they'll likely invite you along to meet and greet.
Take some merch to trade with you and you will always be extra welcome

Before we go further however the LMO's will have to weigh in on if this will be accepted as of now it doesn't meet the requirements listed for Video game characters.
It would be a real shame if the LMO rejects this, it is from a Canon source with plenty of reference material.
Meanwhile other detachments get crls approved that are based on a 3.5" action figure.......

What does CosplaySky sell that look anything like Kallus' tunic? He doesn't use a standard officer's tunic. You'd have to modify one pretty seriously to get close to his. Easier to start from scratch, I'd think. (from CRL)
Well cosplaysky's website is under maintenance at the moment, but this (from one of their pseudonyms) is what I am referring to.
Obviously the "armour" is no good but the uniform is.
-
For soft parts I believe the cosplaysky uniform is approvable with some simple mods.
Some of the hards parts can be 3d printed, though I'd check on here before parting with any money.

Keep Trooping (previously Imperial boots) are also worth looking at.
Not to go off topic, but what are the issues with Jim's?
