I need to show my partner this screenshot and ask him if he can model it, I'm sure he can. I've been looking for a good one ever since I acquired the exact screen-used model of briefcase a year ago. It's always about the time and energy. Lol

Circling back around to this. @KGriffen has been working on a Sloan.  Looks like it is nearly completed.

I would recommend making this the same as Live Action Thrawn, but without all the repairs.
I think the bits mentioned earlier about the tunic being longer, and separated are things we should stay away from. It's one of those idiosyncrasies of being drawn with artistic liberty.

I want this to be a CRL, and hope this leads to a generic grand admiral CRL.

Any local automotive shop will probably carry the auto trim, if you don't want to buy a whole bag from Amazon.

This is my MazCave tunic. It is coming in around 1.8". Fortunately, I have a long turkey neck. Admittedly, it still feels like something I am wearing to improve my head and neck posture.  Took me a bit to get used to a collar that is higher than my other tunics, but after a few hours of wearing it, the feeling wore off.

FYI- I am in love with the caf cup. Great for holding electrolyte water to stay hydrated.

Yeah the very light gray looks perfect outdoors, imo... unless you're appearing next to stormtroopers. Then it looks straight-up dove gray. Part of the reason I elected for cool white. But both are valid, the lighting on-set makes it difficult to tell a lot of the time when you look at actual screenshots vs. what was used on-set.

It seems the collars may be scaled a bit to the wearers, from the shots shared here? Definitely not over 2", though. Tbh the slightly less than 2" collar I had MazKave do is a bit too tall for my own neck, so I can't imagine making it any taller than that for most people.

Also have noticed multiple ISB officers in Andor sporting the Krennic-style flap-n-strap on the outside of the boot, which as far as I know, is not an allowed style for Executor in the ISB non-saga CRL.

There isn't any more difference in Andor tunics than any other tunics when compared with their movies.
ANH belts had unfinished edges and no grooves
ANH Tunics and anthology uniforms have longer skirts.
ESB and most of ROTJ have shorter skirts.
ANH and anthology have higher collars.

For those reasons, there's no plans for an Andor specific CRL.
We just need to update the crl tro match what we added to Dedra's:
OPTIONAL: White material may contain a very light gray tint (a cool white as opposed to a creamy warm white). Keep in mind ambient lighting has a dramatic effect on photographs, so a cool white tunic may appear to be warmer based on lighting.

I agree the color is fine.  The fabric itself is not accurate (it should be a twill, ideally Cavalry but Gabardine is commonly accepted alternative, and his is neither), but that's not something we've called out in the CRL, so it'll still pass.

The other, perhaps bigger, issue was the topstitching on the collars that we saw in photos.  I'm not sure if that was just a prototype and it was addressed later, or if they shipped that way, but that could be a bigger issue.  I'm hoping this was just a prototype, and a non-issue.

The collar height may be an issue for many, as well, as Joshua notes.  Meero and Partigaz had taller collars, just under 2", but a number of Tripon's collars have been measuring just over 2", which is supposed to be an absolute maximum... and frankly, outside of those two, nearly all (there are a couple odd exceptions, but still the vast majority) had 1.5" collars, and not the 2"+ that seems to be Tripon's preference for some reason.  You could argue scaling but unless you well north of 6 feet tall, that's a tough sell.

    Meero:

    Partigaz:

And then there are almost all of the others:

    Blevin:

    Yularen:

Corv: (attendant, not ISB, but just for completeness)

Looking around the conference table and other group scenes in Andor Episode 4, it's pretty clear that the vast majority have 1.5" collars.  And those few that do have taller collars, they're still at least a touch under 2".

It all boils down to the GML, in the end (as always).  Some just simply won't care, or won't be attentive enough to notice.  But others will.

Overall, we think Jim did a great job on these tunics.  But there are a couple areas that miss the mark, too, which is frustrating, because if he had approached the detachment instead of going directly to an LMO who didn't catch this stuff, things would have been more straightforward.

Some things should go without saying, but we live in an age where we do have to say things. I will cross post this in the Officer's Mess too.

At no times will this detachment be a home or accepting to people that are friendly to or espouse the ideas behind fascism, Nazism or any totalitarian ideology. We dress up as fictional space bad guys. Conflating any of the above with doing that is not only morally wrong, it puts at risk what we do here in this detachment and the legion as a whole. We will not allow such a risk.

I have spoken to members who have belonged to reenacting groups that have had those ideologies come into them. That will not be permitted here, not under this administration. And if that day ever comes that it would be allowed, I would hope you would join me in finding another hobby.

There will be no litmus tests for members. If you are a reenactor, I hope you enjoy doing it and I hope you keep the ideology out of it. There is no conversation over re-enacting that you cannot take private. And if you are an open adopter of the ideologies listed above, no one wants to hear it...ever. If you see something in violation of this, please contact the staff and we will deal with it promptly.

I’m baaaaack with my annoyingness after finals and Christmas. LOL!

Here’s my take on the color thing. There’s a difference between screen-accurate and set-accurate, and I’m going to use the original Star Trek series to illustrate that point (which some may be familiar with):

When you see Captain Kirk on-screen, in the show, the tunic has that 60s/70s gold color to it, with a hint of green. If you ever see the actual costume in real life, it’s straight-up avocado green. The way the studio lighting reflects the color makes it appear MUCH different onscreen. To me, the “screen-accurate” color is what we see on screen, and what we would imagine the uniform would look like in real life if Captain Kirk were to step out of your TV screen and into your living room. The avocado green is set-accurate, so, in real life accurate. In my opinion, we need to be going with what is seen on screen, not for what it looks like in real life. We want to look like we *are* the characters, as they are on-screen, not mannequins in a museum.

Especially as we’re talking Tier 2 and Tier 3 approvals, I really don’t think we want to use the way the costumes appear in the real world as a basis. Tbh, I feel like if it’s anywhere close to what we see on screen, it should be acceptable for Tier 2-3. The shades of olivegrau aren’t that picky for line officers, I don’t see why it should be for Andor ISB and Dedra. Certainly not to the extent of specifying a Pantone color (a family of colors I could see, though).

Also, I would like to suggest potential higher-tier details for Dedra’s hairstyle:
    - She wears a specific bun style that should be re-created/emulated, and
    - She wears a light blonde hair net over the bun.

Dedra’s hairstyle does make her different from her colleagues, after all.

    (Edit for spelling error.)

We copied, word for word, Krennic's boot section from the CRL and pasted it into Dedra's. I'd say you are safe ordering Krennic boots.

    Hi it's meeeee again! Lol

I have conferred with one of our GMLs and he seems to concur with my analysis so I wanted to throw this out to the peanut gallery.

I think I've come to the conclusion that the ISB officer boots are almost exactly like the Krennic boots, but with the inside invisible zipper, as @Barkydog1 has pointed out in reference. So, they have that back seam, the quarter-circular flap on the back, and the strap on the side, like Krennic's boots, but also the invisible zipper on the inside of the boot.

I think I got a pretty good reference of the back of the boot, considering how wide the shots are that show the boots in detail.

What do y'all think? I am thinking I'm going to order the Krennic boots from CrowProps with the inside invisible zipper modification.
